Aug. 3  -  The 56th Annual Crab Fest.  Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Annapolis.  5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Aug. 3 & 4  -  Governor's Cup Race. Sponsored by St. Mary's College.  Starts Friday evening at 6:00 pm off Annapolis and ends at the St. Mary's River off St. Mary's College.

Aug. 4  -  Betterton Beach Day & Parade.  10:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Sand sculpting contests, tug-o-war, volley ball, etc.

Aug. 4  -  Family Duck Fest and Cruise for Kids at HarborView Marina and Yacht Club in Baltimore.  Festival featuring children's activities, food, entertainment.  A rubber duck race to raise money for Easter Seals starts at 2:00.  11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Aug. 4 & 5  -  Thunder on the Narrows.  Noon - 5:00 pm.  Hi-Performance Hydroplanes and Jersey Skiffs racing.  Food and entertainment on the grounds of the Kent Island Yacht Club.

Aug. 4 & 5  -  Crab Days at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.  10:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Activities include crabbing demonstrations, crab races, live music and boat rides.

Aug. 5  -  Grand National Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Grand National Waterfowl Association.  Cash prize for the biggest rockfish.  Starts at Old Salty's Restaurant in Hoopers Island, Maryland.

Aug. 10  -  John W. Brown Liberty Ship Cruise.

Aug. 10 & 11  -  Upper Bay Poker Run sponsored by Jackson Marine in North East.  Meeting Friday at 7:00 pm, Run begins Saturday at 10 pm, party with barbeque, food, drink, and games begins after finish.

Aug. 10  - 12  -  75th Annual Hampton Cup Regatta.  12 pm - 6:00 pm each day.  Ten classes of hydroplane boat races.  Races are on the water between Phoebus and Fort Monroe.   Food & beverage vendors, music, and radio station give-aways.  E. Mercury Bridge at Fort Monroe.  Hampton.

Aug. 11  -  Seafood Feastival at Sailwinds Park in Cambridge, MD.  2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.  $26.00 in advance.

Aug. 11  -  Antique and Classic Boat Show and Rally at Saunders Parkway Marina.  Moneta, Virginia.  Boats, music, and food. 

Aug. 11  -  Boaters Bluegrass Festival and BBQ.  An annual event open to all boaters at Point Lookout Marina in Ridge, Maryland.

Aug. 11  -  Susquehanna River Festival and Crab Feast at Port Deposit, Maryland..  10:00 am to 11:00 pm.   Food, activities, steamed crabs, and a walking tour of Port Deposit

Aug. 11  -  Mile Marker One Poker Run sponsored by the Virginia Powerboat Club in Norfolk.  Meeting at 8:00 am, run starts at 9:00 am.  Awards banquet starts at 8:00 pm.

Aug. 11 & 12  -  Havre De Grace Seafood Festival in Tydings Park from Noon - 8:00 pm Saturday & Noon - 6:00 pm on Sunday.  Food, arts and crafts, music etc.

Aug. 11 & 12  -  Log Canoe Regatta on the Choptank River at the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford..  Races start at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.  Sunday's race starts at 10:00 am. 

Aug. 17 & 18  -  Onancock Harborfest Waterfront Festival with food, beverages, live musical entertainment, games, exhibits, arts and crafts, a paper boat race, and canoe and kayak races.  Friday 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to Midnight.

Aug. 18  -  Party on the Bay in Rock Hall.  Great seafood, games, arts & crafts, and exhibits on Bay heritage.  11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Aug. 18 - 19  -  Log Canoe Regatta on the Choptank River sponsored by the Cambridge Yacht Club.  Saturday races start at 10:00 am & 2:00 pm.  Sunday starts at 10:00 am.

Aug. 25 - 26  -  North Beach BayFest in North Beach, Maryland.  A waterfront festival with arts & crafts, activities for kids, parades, antique cars, music, and seafood.  Saturday 12 pm to 8:30 pm and Sunday 12 pm to 6:30pm.

Aug. 25 - 26  -  Myers Chesapeake Heritage Regatta on the Tred Avon River.  Classic Chesapeake Bay craft including log canoes, comets, Chesapeake 20s, Penguins, and Hamptons.  Registration at 9:00 am and the races begin at 10:00 am.

Aug 31- Sept. 2  -  54th Annual National Hard Crab Derby & Fair at Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield, MD.  Crab races, beauty pageant, parade, boat racing and docking contests, crab picking contest, carnival, games, arts & crafts, fresh seafood, live entertainment and fireworks.  Fun for the whole family.

Sept. 1  -  4^th Annual Kent Island Cup & Maryland Outrigger Challenge on Kent Island.  First race starts at 11:30 am, second race 2:30 pm. The Luau starts at 6:00 pm.

Sept. 1  -  John W. Brown Liberty Ship Cruise.

Sept. 1 & 2  -  Challenge Hydroplane Racing in Wilmer Park, Chestertown.

Sept. 1 - 3  -  Deal Island Skipjack Races

Sept. 7 - 9  -  19th Annual Hampton Bay Days in downtown Hampton, VA.   Friday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Sunday 12 pm - 5:00 pm.  Features fun for the whole family with live music, bay activities, seafood, fireworks, educational exhibits, kid's activities, sports and water events.

Sept. 7 - 9  -  The 35th Annual Maryland Seafood Festival at Sandy Point Park.  From 11:00 am - 8:00 pm. 

Sept. 15  -  9th Annual Wye Island Regatta at Wye Landing, Wye Mills.  Starts at 8:00 am.  A race around 12.4 mile race around Wye Island.  Open to any person powered boat.

Sept. 22- 28  -  Rolex Women's Keelboat Championships

Sept. 23  -  Choptank Heritage Skipjack Race at Long Wharf in Cambridge, tsrats at 10:00 am.

Sept. 28  -  Sixth Annual Rockfish Tournament, Kent Island.  Sunrise to 3:00 pm (measuring and banquet).  Call 410-643-8530 for more information.

Sept. 28 - 30  -  15th Annual Scorchy Tawes Pro Am Fishing Tournament in Crisfield. 

Sept. 29 & 30  -  Antique and Classic Boat Show in Hampton, VA.  Starts at 10:00 am  and goes to 6:00 pm.  In-water show with land exhibits, food and live entertainment.

Oct. 4 - 8  -  U.S. Sailboat Show at the Annapolis City Pier.  10:00 am - 6:00 pm Thursday is VIP Day, Friday thru Sunday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Oct. 6  -  Mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels.  From 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. 

Oct. 6  -  Terrapin Sands Fish Fry in Crisfield, MD.

Oct. 6  -  Tangier Sound Sea Kayak Challenge, Janes Island State Park.  A three mile kayak/canoe race through Janes Island and a 15 mile outrigger canoe race in the Tangier Sound.

Oct. 11 - 14  -  U.S. Powerboat Show.  Annapolis City Dock. Starts at 10:00 am - 6:00 am Thurs, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Fri. through Sat., 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Sunday.

Oct. 13 & 14  -  Havre De Grace Waterfront Festival 2001 at Tydings Park, and Waterfront.  9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Oct. 17 - 21  -  The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.

Oct. 22  -  7th Annual Schooner Feast in Cape Charles Harbor.  From 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  Advance tickets required.

Oct. 27th.  -  Harbor Club Regatta.

Oct. 27th.  -  Suddenly Alone Seminar - US Naval Academy, Annapolis.  From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Nov. 2 & 3  -  Urbanna Oyster Festival.  Starts at 10:00 am.

Nov. 9 - 11  -  31st Annual Waterfowl Festival in Easton, MD.  Starts at 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday and Saturday and 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Sunday.

Nov. 11  -  John W. Brown Liberty Ship Cruise

Dec. 1  -  Holly Days Lighted Boat Parade on the Hampto\n River.  Starts at 7:00 pm Good viewing from the downtown waterfront area.

Dec. 8  -  Eastport Yacht Club's Light Parade on Spa Creek, Severna River, and Ego Alley to the City Dock in Annapolis.  From 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
